Satellite Connectivity

Satellite Connectivity

Course Overview

Extending connectivity to certain areas of a farm can be challenging, particularly where mobile coverage is limited or unavailable.

In this course, NSW DPIRD Agtech Specialist Justin Matthews explores how satellite connectivity can help connect people, equipment and monitoring technologies when other networks are unavailable or unreliable.

Using industry insights and real-world examples, this course examines the factors that influence performance, cost and reliability, helping you assess whether satellite connectivity is the right fit for your operation. Explore how satellite can be used on its own or combined with technologies such as Wi-Fi and mobile networks to create a more reliable connectivity solution.

Course length: 23 minutes

Course type: Agtech in Action
